Meet & Greet Harman Construction

Have you had the experience of meeting someone and feeling like you've known them a long time? Some people just have that something about them that makes you immediately at ease with them. You laugh and talk easily together. You don't have to work at being comfortable or making conversation - it just happens, and happens effortlessly.

That's what it felt like yesterday afternoon when members of the WPC Session and Harman Construction Company got together to talk about our building project. We called it a Meet & Greet.

Those who were present from Harman Construction:
Wayne Whitmer, President
Ryan Morris, Project Manager
Clayton Hinegartner, Site Manager
Gary Haney, Director of Operations

In addition to these, Mike Irwin was present from MEI engineering group. He will serve as our mechanical engineer for the project.

Dale Cupp, our architect from Miller Cupp Associates, was present as well.

It was a great group ~ quite impressive! According to Ryan's schedule, Harman will begin work on Monday, April 18. How wonderful that is! More about the schedule later.....for now, let me introduce you to our new friends at Harman Construction Company.

Building Team Meeting - April 5, 2011

WPC Building Team:
Ray Powell & Joe O'Rear, co-chairs (front row)
Zandy DePriest, Vicky and Jerry Germroth, Marian French (back row)
(Missing from photo: John Coleman, Terry Johnston, Susan Garman, and photographer - Pastor Lisa)
WPC has a wonderful Building Team! It's more than a "committee" ~ it really is a team! Led by Joe O'Rear and Ray Powell, the Building Team has been instrumental in planning every step of our building project.

Now that the building project is about to begin, the Building Team is ready to help the congregation welcome Harman Construction to our congregation. Being "welcoming" is one thing WPC does wonderfully well! On Thursday of this week, the Session and Building Team will "Meet and Greet" representatives of Harman Construction Compnay at WPC. Watch for my next blog entry on that special meeting!

For now, I give thanks to God for the gift of our WPC Building Team. I know you give thanks with me!
