It seems like just ..... (insert your own word here: week, month, century) ..... since we began the Building Project. I remember the day the movers knocked down the center corridor and cleared debris from the church yard. What a glorious mess!
Look at us now! All gussied up and everywhere to go! So many little things have taken place in the past few weeks. It's been difficult to have the camera handy to get pics of all the activity!
Throughout the project we've been blessed with an abundance of well wishes from the community. We've had passers-by who took a closer look at the remarkable craftsmanship. People from out of town, even out of country, came by for a look and ended up admiring the tenacious spirit of our congregation for building such an elegant space "in this economy."
It's been a gift of grace, to be sure. We've all had something to look forward to, and work on together. Let's sit back and enjoy the blessings of our new space for a while! We deserve the break! THEN let's get charged up again to tackle our next big project: paying off the loan! More on that later. For now, enjoy the recent pics!

It's chair day! 150 new chairs for the Fellowship Hall are delivered! |
Lots of good help! |
Don Sawyer giving good directions! |
Recognize this? It's the warming oven from the former kitchen...being moved to its new home upstairs. |
Time for landacaping! Billy Lomas and his crew put down sod and mulch over a couple of beautiful days! |
Tiling the ground to allow for roots to take hold. Sounds rather biblical, doesn't it?..... |
